Claude Projects vs Normal Chats: When Persistent Context Matters
Use a normal chat for one-off questions. Use a Project when the same context returns repeatedly: a product, publication, course, research topic, or business process.
Create a concise project brief with goals, audience, terminology, constraints, and authoritative references. Update it when decisions change. The objective is to reduce repeated setup while keeping context controlled.
Anthropic's 2026 reflection feature also suggests Projects as a way to avoid repeatedly re-explaining ongoing work.
Practical takeaway: Use Claude to reduce repetitive work while keeping human judgment for accuracy, privacy, security, and important decisions.
