The Case for a Less Cluttered Home
Clutter creates visual noise and makes everyday tasks harder. But decluttering does not require becoming a minimalist.
Start with surfaces and storage areas that create repeated friction. Remove duplicates, relocate things that belong elsewhere, and create simple homes for items used frequently. If an object is useful and loved, keeping it is not a failure.
The most sustainable approach is to reduce incoming clutter too. Pause before buying something and ask where it will live, how often it will be used, and whether it replaces something you already own.
A calmer home is often less about empty rooms and more about making the useful things easy to find.
