How to Travel Well Without Overplanning Every Hour
Planning is useful until it starts controlling the trip. A good itinerary usually needs only a few anchors: arrival, accommodation, major reservations, transport between cities, and one or two must-see experiences.
The rest can remain flexible. This leaves room for weather, local recommendations, unexpected discoveries, and simply sitting in a café without checking the clock.
A useful rule is to plan by neighborhood or area rather than crossing a city repeatedly. Grouping nearby attractions reduces transit time and creates a calmer day.
Travel is partly about seeing places and partly about experiencing them. Leave enough empty space for the second part.
