Why Data Centres Are Becoming an Investment Theme

For investors, this creates a broad theme rather than a single-company story. Opportunities can appear across digital infrastructure, power equipment, construction, cooling, networking, and real estate. But a theme can become expensive if expectations rise faster than actual earnings.

Business Standard reported in July 2026 that India's data-centre ecosystem is being viewed as a major long-term opportunity, alongside themes such as manufacturing and domestic consumption. Investors should still evaluate individual companies on valuation, balance sheet, execution, and cash flow rather than buying a theme blindly.
